Global Warming is NOT Really What YOU Think It Is
Friday, April 20, 2007
First thing people think of is that Global Warming is caused by the greenhouse effect. The greenhouse effect is the sun’s heat trapped between the earth and the troposphere’s greenhouse gases. The more greenhouse gases, more heat is trapped, and the earth heats up causing the global warming. And this warming can lead to melting of the polar regions thus increasing sea level and can cause climate change making more potent hurricanes due to global warming.
And since human’s consumption on fossil fuels over the century has increased, where the burning of these fossil fuels have increased the amount of anthropogenic or man-made carbon dioxide (CO2), this has led to the increase of the CO2 in the atmosphere which is a greenhouse gas causing the currently global warming we are experiencing today.
But a lot of false information has been disseminated here. In the videos, The Great Global Warming Swindle, and theDoomsday Called Off and a presentation by the Internet Skeptic will show you how everything just doesn’t fit.
Five major points showing that carbon dioxide is not the main cause of anthropogenic CO2 can be found here. More information see the posts on the GlobalWarming Awareness 2007 website.

I haven’t had a good chance of ranking pretty well for this year’s SEO contest due to unavailability of fairly enough time and work for my entries. I have gone to a lot of real world activities that involves family and business. After all, I’m very much delighted that I had a chance to participate on probably the most prestigious SEO contest in the Philippines. I’m very proud to be a part of it.

Wow, I still remember my password, ha!
The contest is already over; I am looking at the search results of Isulong SEOPH and we are currently at #1. Unfortunately, that’s not our rank a week ago when the contest ended.
We placed third in the rankings. It’s not #1, but it’s still good. It’s not like we lost anything. The ace in our sleeve just didn’t make the deadline. Oh well, there’s always next time.
We’re proud of our achievements, and I’ll miss blogging for you guys. We did have a great time, didn’t we? And we learned a lot. I have no regrets entering the contest; the knowledge we gained is more than the sum of the prize money won. We now have an idea what we’ll say when clients see that their site isn’t at #1 yet. And that knowledge, that one is priceless.
And #3 isn’t bad. I’ll be sure to put that in my resume.
Congratulations to all the winners, and thank you guys for cheering us on! Thanks to the various offers to optimize your websites as well, that’s flattering.
Until next time folks, Isulong SEOPH!

What a storm! Wasn’t most of Luzon without electricity last Thursday? I had no idea how widespread the devastation was until I turned the TV on today and saw how trees were uprooted in the streets. How powerful can a storm be?
Walking around the neighborhood I saw just one tree felled by the storm. It wasn’t uprooted, although the tree was cut in two. I suspect it to be the handiwork of lightning, but the winds could have done it as well. That’s something for the big bad wolf to think about when he huffs and puffs and blows houses down.
There were a lot of things all of us learned while doing this. The camaraderie, the techniques gained and learned, the experience, the sleepless nights, all these things will be spoken of by the next generation of SEO’s as legends, and we will go down in history as the first winners of the Philippine SEO contest.
Pano? Kita-kits na lang mamaya! (What? See you again later!)
